having a smurfin good holiday

Our school holidays have just kicked into its second week....to be honest we havent done a huge amount other than go to the Royal show, visit family, celebrated my babys 5th birthday, gone to the park watched a few movies...smurfs was one of them!
I loved the smurfs when i was little so it was great to see them come back for my kids to enjoy!

I finally got around to making that card for the person i know going through the first few challenges breast cancer sends their way.....i made it a smurf card as her daughter was so excited about the smurfs the last time we chatted....

Also here is a card i made for my daughters birthday coming up in a few days time!

Busy Busy Busy!!

This week is going to be super busy with lots of things planned before school holidays at the end of September...im sure they were just on holidays right??

So here are a few things Ive done in the last few days ( i cant show you all at the moment as my sons Pirate party isn't til mid October) But i can show you my daughters stuff for her party...which is also in October!
Im entering it into the Decorate to Celebrate! challenge anything goes theme!

I used the blue & white check washi tape from Sawyers Place ....its so easy & it reminds me of the pool tiles you get along the edges of the pool...Im going to add each childs name to the bags as they rsvp...i also had to quickly make 2 boy bags as she decided to invite 2 ...one she has known since before kindy & they got "married" when they were in Pre primary!! so cute that they are still friends even at the age of nearly 10!! Although at the beginning of the year there was talk of divorce!! oh my kids are so funny!!

September has arrived!!

Hi all
wow September is here already & what a nice sunny start to spring...it didnt last long & by school pick up time it had turned dark & stormy looking!

I got some great mail today...from Sawyers Place She has just started a blog so head on over & say G'day!!
So what did i get in the mail?? Washi tape of course!! Its so cool...i got the Measuring Tape TAPE, plus 2 other designs which i will be creating with shortly plus some hot fix rhinestones in xmas colours!

I had a busy day today but when i seen that the measuring tape arrived i just had to make a quick card!!

How cute is that tape!!! I also made a matching envelope :) The Tape goes upto 15 before returning back to 1 again...I have so many ideas running through my head when i look at this tape! Also the tools were cut from Everyday Paper dolls!

Also i wanted to give you all a quick update of how Jacob ( plastic jacob, not my son jacob) is going on his blog hop around the world. I still cant wait to get him...but that will be closer to the end of his tour!

Cupcakes all round!!

This last week has been one huge party!! well not quite...but both myself & my son are now a year older!!
I was having a great birthday...got lots of new cricut cartridges from my hubby & kids, went and had lunch with hubby & watched my daughter do cross country ( its a long distance run that is done with several schools participating) and then hubby bought me some flowers...sounds all so good doesnt it!!

Then as my daughter was doing cross country we had to wait for the bus to return to the school which was 10 min late after the siren....when we got back to our car in the car park a mum had reversed straight into our car!! Happy birthday!!!

So it kind of made my day not so great & we are now waiting on them to claim it through insurance ..im hoping its soon as we can not open the door they hit & with 3 kids they are not finding it easy to share one door!

Also i received the Cupcake lite cartridge from the lovely Patricia at The Crafty Kitten I had won her blogoverary prize & it arrived on my birthday!!! ( that made me happy again!!)

My son is now a 12 year old!! i still cant believe my first baby is so grown up!!
He had a party at the bowling centre & invited his friends...they all had a great time & my son actually won both games of bowling they played....and all the kids loved the arcade section....it was hard to get them to leave when it came time to go!!

this week im hoping to get back into scrapbooking & stuff....i have a fathers day card & a birthday card to make!!

forever young Purse & goodies + getting cricky challenge...SMILE!!

I just finished making my sons kindy friends present for tomorrow. We are giving her some money so that her mum can take her shopping...nothing worse than getting a present of something you have already!
I also made a cute little Forever Young purse so that my little guy can give it to her along with her card i made the other day.....so after putting in the money...the purse looked a little empty...so i made some hair ties!

I used pink felt and cuttle bugged some bows & flowers from the cuttle kids dies. I then hot glued some ribbons and the die cut felt to the hair ties & then added buttons...i had some J buttons so used those as her name is Jacinta. Its my first time making them...and i think i might make more in future...its a great little personalized gift

The paper dolls are extra cute & are much like the little girl...always smiling
I love peachy keen stamps...it makes my paper dolls come alive!

Bug day scrapping

Today i went to another Bug Day Scrap....at Just Scrapbooking. I really didnt get much done...i really dont know why i think i would!

Im still getting over the flu and i have no energy to lift my scrapping stuff let alone want to think lol....but i did get a card done that was on my need to do list...as its needed for this weekend!!

My little guy got invited to a party...he is super excited and keeps asking is it time to go yet!!

I thought i would be brave & try a pop up card from the everyday pop up cards cart.....you would think it was easy....but it wasnt...i had 2 ladies trying to figure it out for me..both had different ideas...after an email & diagram later we finally worked it out....it looks very cute...but im just glad i dont have the cart...or i would be sitting in a corner crying with the card ...sobbing 'why wont you work butterfly!"

So here is my card....& yes that is all i did...apart from cutting random stuff from carts i dont have lol

i hope the little girl likes it!!

boy cards

i made some cards this afternoon ..using the new cartridge i received ...Everyday paper doll dress ups....i made some farm boy cards as my son is going to a birthday party that will have a mobile farm. It is also his birthday a few days before that too....so made him a card too!!
I bought a new dcwv paper stack last week called citrus something so thats what these cards & the goodbye card i made was from.

School holidays are still continuing...so i dont get much me time at the moment!

quick card for my cousin who is moving away

here is a card that i made this morning for my cousin who is off to live in Brisbane for a few yrs...im going to miss her. I used my cuttlebug for embossing..plane from everyday paper dolls & stamping inking from stampin up

Friday night

Good evening 

Kids are in bed...so all is reasonably quiet in the house. School holidays are underway and kids got to stay up a bit later than normal. This afternoon i got my parcel i was eagerly awaiting for....it seemed to take forever to arrive! I got 2 new cricut cartridges...Everyday Paper dolls  & freshly picked. I haven't had a chance to play with them yet but will do soon.
I also got a CUTTLEBUG!!!! its supposed to be my christmas present but hey it arrived early & one must check these things before the 30 day of return runs out..luckily i did as it is missing a thin die adapter which im assuming is what helps cut the free cuttlekids dies that came with it. Im hoping they send it out soon or else the free gift is rather pointless to me.
I love the cuttlebug so far though & even went shopping for more embossing folders on the weekend just gone....i got 2 adorable embossing folders of butterflies & cupcakes!
Im hoping to get into more scrapbooking these holidays..dont have a lot planned for the kids to do....they can play outside as the weather is becoming nice and sunny..got to love spring...apart from the sneezing & blocked up feeling with sinus!
