Robot Party

Hi

I just found this draft & I thought it was posted a year or so ago...oooppps!!

Its been a few months since i last posted.....life sure gets busy when your having fun!
My kids have all had their birthdays now....my son had a party. It was lots of fun ...i really enjoy preparing and making things for parties!  This year the theme of his party was a Robot Dance Party!

I made the invites using the Robot Party cricut cart.

I used Sawyer's Place washi tape crazy cogs in the titus Collection. It worked perfectly with robots!
I then turned the cog with black robot face into a magnet by hot gluing the magnets to the cogs.

The Party was held at a local dance studio that hosts birthday parties....it was really good and as a host was provided it made the party so much easier!

My son was also lucky enough to have a face painter to turn all the kids into robots (and other things like cats dogs)

I cut out Robot hats and glasses using the Robot Party Cartridge on my cricut.
I used Sparkle and metallic card stock and cut these to fit 6 year old kids....I used my gypsy so got lots of cuts per page. For the robot hats i used metallic silver and gold card stock.

I made some utensil holders using the cartridge. After I made it i added a clean tin can to hold the knives and forks.

I also had no luck in finding coloured tablecloths for the party so i had to buy plain white. I decorated them with bright robots cut out with the cricut with coloured vinyl. They stuck well to the tablecloth. I also used these vinyl robots to decorate plates for food. I used the left over faces from the robot cuts and some screw cuts to add to the little jelly cups.
I made a banner to hang in the party room.
I used blue card stock and glitter orange card stock. I cut several robots to add as spacers between the words. I then used eyelets to strengthen where the ribbon threads through.  All the robots were cut with either robot party or robotz carts.
I made 2 3d robots for the Drinks table.

First Birthday...Minnie Mouse style!

Hi

My nephews little one just had her first birthday....time goes by so fast!!!

Her mum decided to have a Minnie Mouse theme....yay!! It meant my Mickey & friends cricut cartridge got a work out!!

I made a Happy 1st Birthday Banner using the Mickey head shadow & welding the Bow onto the head to make it Minnie Mouse using my gypsy.

I found some cute plastic milk bottle containers in a discount store & decorated them with some vinyl Minnie heads and some polka dot pink ribbon & used them to hold some paper straws on the table

I cut out the same Minnie head smaller to make cupcake decorations. Her mum also bought some which included daisy duck.

She had a Beautiful 1st birthday with lots of presents and cake!!

playing catch up!

Hi
Its been such a long time since I blogged...I often came to blog but then got busy....so here is hoping this makes it through!

Lots has happened since last time....Several family members have passed away...several have been born. I have been busy with my job which I LOVE!!!

The photo above is of a new addition to my extended family. My cousin had a baby boy at the end of October 2013. He is adorable. Sadly they live on the opposite side of Australia, so I have only seen him once, when they came over for my grandads funeral.

Ive blocked out the journaling, but I do love these CTMH journals along with the stickers and journal spots that coordinate. I started that Journal back at the beginning of October.

Here is another that holds some photos plus newspaper article and wrist entry of the night my hubby & kids went to a theme park. It was quite funny as I wasn't able to go my husband filmed the fireworks which I then watched  when they got home. While watching it I seen several sparks go off toward the castle & said wow isn't it lucky the castle didn't catch fire...it had been windy that night!....only to wake in the morning to news that it actually did catch on fire from the fireworks...luckily no one was injured and it took hold after the park had closed...just a shame the volunteer brigade didn't check it before they left that night. I loved that castle when I was a child.  I used Sawyers Place washi tape in insanity script Black to help make the pocket.

Well I do hope to get into blogging again

Welcome 2013

Hi all

Well its been several months since my last blog entry....i often wonder how life goes by so fast...especially when i look at my children!
My eldest just graduated year 7 and is off to High School this coming year. When did he grow up so fast...it only felt like yesterday when i took him to kindy for the first day!
Here is the banner i made for his graduation ceremony at school. I used my cricut and i think it was learning curve cartridge for the graduation hats & possibly baby shower or pretty pennants for the banners.

Teachers gifts this year were similar to last years little hampers i made up.  I made them all a glass ornament that i glittered and put their name & No 1 teacher cut from the cricut. I made reindeers with chocolate box and wrapping and candy canes for antlers

This year will bring lots of new adventures our way... I applied for a job at the end of last year....I have been a stay at home mummy for quite awhile but doing so much volunteer work at the school has made me realize how much i want to get back to working in the school & with kids.  Last year I also took over as the coordinator for the schools book club....it has been fun receiving boxes of books and catalogs and seeing the kids get excited when walking into their class with their new books!

This card i made for the kids Dance Teacher for Christmas...i love Twinkle toes cartridge and i added the doodle charms Christmas hat..isn't she cute!! I used Sawyers Place new product called 'rourkes rounds' christmas design.

I made these cute zoo cards for all the kids i had in my group when my sons class went to the zoo...i put all the photos onto a disc for them....It was a hit with the parents that otherwise would not have got photos of their kid enjoying the zoo!

I have just made a banner for my nephews first baby....the mum to be is due in march and she is having her baby shower soon...she loves nemo so i made her a Nemo banner. Here is a photo before i put it all together....she is having a a baby GIRL!!!

will catch up more soon!

Im so excited for her but also relieved it isnt me!!! lol So what has miss pink cricut been cutting out lately?? LOTS!!!! I will start with the baby gifts i made....I used create a critter to cut the cute little lambs for the nappy cradles...which were so super easy to make....i wish i had more friends ready to pop so i can make more!! I used the left over nappies to make a baby cake...i love making these also!! I cut some cute little animals to put around the cake ie monkey koala giraffe ect I also made a quick gift for my aunty for her birthday..i cut out a cupcake wrapper & put in a body puff with a red pompom as a cherry....i also added a soap wrapped in yellow tissue paper & used some Sawyers Place washi tape in Cupcake designs...you have a chance of winning a roll if you got to Sawyers Place facebook page & commenting on my picture.
I also decorated some baby onsies by using cricut car decals & some freezer paper...i then ironed it to the onsies & then used fabric paint...for the boy it says i would rather be sleeping & the girl romper is i would rather be shopping!
I also got Dr Checkup cartridge which im so excited to get & had a quick play with the day i got it...i did a layout for the photos i have of my son being in hospital.

christmas in July

Hi ....Its been ages since i have had time to blog!! I made a card for a challenge over at Scrappy go lucky You have to design a christmas card with non traditional christmas cricut carts....so i used the Home decor cart with the star flourish....i had a few issues cutting with such thin paper that the flourish tore on some of it so i snipped it..so now its a little different to the design on the cart...but it still looks christmassy to me...i also used the close to my heart stamp sentiment i got when i purchased the art philosophy cart from scrappy go lucky.
its quite a quick & easy card....i like simple! If you want to enter for a chance to win a cricut cartridge...head on over to Scrappy Go Lucky & enter your own card!! Its been quite a cold few months already of winter ...we had a massive storm that blew the kids trampoline onto the pergola roof...if we didnt get it down i think it would have flipped right over & into the yard next door...with that came several power outages & we have all been sick with colds & flu...bring on spring where i can sit in the sun & be warm!
My daughter had a class party which was a 'mad hatter tea party' so i had lots of fun making some tea cups, cupcake toppers & a large mad hatter hat all from the cricut. The tea cups i filled with small chocolates. hope everyone is having a great weekend ♥ from Me
