Robot Party

Hi

I just found this draft & I thought it was posted a year or so ago...oooppps!!

Its been a few months since i last posted.....life sure gets busy when your having fun!
My kids have all had their birthdays now....my son had a party. It was lots of fun ...i really enjoy preparing and making things for parties!  This year the theme of his party was a Robot Dance Party!

I made the invites using the Robot Party cricut cart.

I used Sawyer's Place washi tape crazy cogs in the titus Collection. It worked perfectly with robots!
I then turned the cog with black robot face into a magnet by hot gluing the magnets to the cogs.

The Party was held at a local dance studio that hosts birthday parties....it was really good and as a host was provided it made the party so much easier!

My son was also lucky enough to have a face painter to turn all the kids into robots (and other things like cats dogs)

I cut out Robot hats and glasses using the Robot Party Cartridge on my cricut.
I used Sparkle and metallic card stock and cut these to fit 6 year old kids....I used my gypsy so got lots of cuts per page. For the robot hats i used metallic silver and gold card stock.

I made some utensil holders using the cartridge. After I made it i added a clean tin can to hold the knives and forks.

I also had no luck in finding coloured tablecloths for the party so i had to buy plain white. I decorated them with bright robots cut out with the cricut with coloured vinyl. They stuck well to the tablecloth. I also used these vinyl robots to decorate plates for food. I used the left over faces from the robot cuts and some screw cuts to add to the little jelly cups.
I made a banner to hang in the party room.
I used blue card stock and glitter orange card stock. I cut several robots to add as spacers between the words. I then used eyelets to strengthen where the ribbon threads through.  All the robots were cut with either robot party or robotz carts.
I made 2 3d robots for the Drinks table.

First Birthday...Minnie Mouse style!

Hi

My nephews little one just had her first birthday....time goes by so fast!!!

Her mum decided to have a Minnie Mouse theme....yay!! It meant my Mickey & friends cricut cartridge got a work out!!

I made a Happy 1st Birthday Banner using the Mickey head shadow & welding the Bow onto the head to make it Minnie Mouse using my gypsy.

I found some cute plastic milk bottle containers in a discount store & decorated them with some vinyl Minnie heads and some polka dot pink ribbon & used them to hold some paper straws on the table

I cut out the same Minnie head smaller to make cupcake decorations. Her mum also bought some which included daisy duck.

She had a Beautiful 1st birthday with lots of presents and cake!!

playing catch up!

Hi
Its been such a long time since I blogged...I often came to blog but then got busy....so here is hoping this makes it through!

Lots has happened since last time....Several family members have passed away...several have been born. I have been busy with my job which I LOVE!!!

The photo above is of a new addition to my extended family. My cousin had a baby boy at the end of October 2013. He is adorable. Sadly they live on the opposite side of Australia, so I have only seen him once, when they came over for my grandads funeral.

Ive blocked out the journaling, but I do love these CTMH journals along with the stickers and journal spots that coordinate. I started that Journal back at the beginning of October.

Here is another that holds some photos plus newspaper article and wrist entry of the night my hubby & kids went to a theme park. It was quite funny as I wasn't able to go my husband filmed the fireworks which I then watched  when they got home. While watching it I seen several sparks go off toward the castle & said wow isn't it lucky the castle didn't catch fire...it had been windy that night!....only to wake in the morning to news that it actually did catch on fire from the fireworks...luckily no one was injured and it took hold after the park had closed...just a shame the volunteer brigade didn't check it before they left that night. I loved that castle when I was a child.  I used Sawyers Place washi tape in insanity script Black to help make the pocket.

Well I do hope to get into blogging again
